Freeland Conservation Club

Freeland Conservation Club operates a shotgun-only facility rooted in conservation principles. The club opens each meeting with a conservation pledge: "I give my pledge as an American to save and to faithfully defend from waste the natural resources of my country, it's air, it's soil and minerals, it's forests, waters, and wildlife." Located two miles north of downtown Freeland and surrounded by the woodlands they protect, the club makes this commitment tangible.

The club runs four primary shotgun disciplines:

• •Sporting Clays - Simulated field hunting scenarios
• •5-Stand - Fast-paced clay target shooting
• •Skeet - Olympic-style shotgun sport
• •Trap - Classic clay target discipline

They also host corporate events and organize leagues and special competitions throughout the year, including the Gentlemen's Cup.

"Whether you have been around guns your entire life, or would like to get into the sport, we pride ourselves in offering a friendly, no-judgement atmosphere for everyone who comes to visit."

The club is open to the public year-round. Members receive discounts on shooting activities, and the club provides foam earplugs and used safety glasses for anyone who forgets eye and ear protection.

The shot size limit ensures all fired shot stays within property bounds—a practical constraint for their wooded setting.
