Monroe Ducks Unlimited has operated as a volunteer chapter since 1976, advancing Ducks Unlimited's mission to conserve and restore wetlands in Monroe County and southeast Michigan. The chapter runs entirely on volunteer effort and community support.
The chapter has raised over $2.5 million in the past ten years, with more than 80% going directly to conservation work. That funding has protected or restored 8,000+ acres across 40 projects, including:
- •Pte. Aux Peaux Restoration Project
- •Brancheau Restoration Project (Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge)
- •Erie Marsh Preserve phases I & II
- •Invasive Phragmites control at Pte. Mouillee State Game Area
- •Sterling State Park restoration
- •Multiple private land wetland and grassland restorations
Monroe DU hosts several annual events open to the public:

The Math: Ducks Unlimited is the world leader in wetlands conservation. Clean water, wildlife habitat, and hunting heritage depend on the work volunteers do locally.
