Full description and what we offer
Steve and Tyler run Bear Paw Guides as a father-and-son operation on the east shore of Upper Red Lake in Waskish, Minnesota. Between them, they've got over 60 years of combined guiding experience—this is all they do, year-round.
They focus primarily on area 13, where their bait stations have been established and actively maintained for over 17 years. The Big Bog area around Waskish is known for big black bears, and Bear Paw Guides has documented success: countless entries in the Pope and Young Record Book and Boone and Crockett North American Record Book.
Open-ended hunts. You hunt for 5 days during your first time period. If you don't harvest a bear, you can return to hunt again at a later date at no additional cost. This approach significantly increases your odds of success over a single week.
Bear Paw handles the work: bait station baiting and monitoring, tracking, retrieval, field dressing, and skinning. Freezer space is available at camp for your harvest. Trail cam pictures provided upon arrival.
Hunt Details: - Cost: $2,000 per hunt - Deposit: $500 (non-refundable but can be rescheduled) - Application Deadline: First week of May - Lodging: Ice house rentals available - Meals: Evening meals provided at camp for all hunters
Bring your boat and fish Upper Red Lake, consistently ranked among Minnesota's finest walleye fisheries. Ice house rentals also available for winter fishing trips.
