Full description and what we offer
Cheff Ranch operates Legacy Outfitters, a family outfit that's been guiding hunters, fishermen, and adventure seekers into Montana's Bob Marshall Wilderness since 1936. That's 86 years of knowing the terrain, the elk, the deer, the fish, and what it takes to keep people safe and fed in one of America's last truly wild places.
The Bob Marshall Wilderness sprawls across over 1 million acres—prime habitat for elk, mule deer, whitetail deer, black bears, mountain lions, wolves, and cutthroat trout. There are no roads, no motors, no development. Just mountains, rivers, and animals.

Barlett Camp sits at the mouth of Bartlett Creek on the South Fork of the Flathead River, about 60 miles upstream from Hungry Horse Dam. The horses—Tennessee Walkers and Thoroughbreds—have spent their entire lives going into the Bob. Sure-footed, smooth-gaited animals that handle the steep terrain and rocky creeks without complaint.
These aren't rental horses. These are mountain horses bred and trained specifically for wilderness work.
