Full description and what we offer
The Whiskey Shack operates guided hunts on 300 acres of private land near Blackduck, Minnesota, about 6 miles north of town on Highway 71. Rick and Sheila Reinarz have built a reputation for placing hunters in active areas with solid stand setups and extensive pre-scouting.
They pride themselves on a strong success rate, though Minnesota whitetail can be secretive. When they show up, the adrenaline is real.
Comfort matters on a long hunt. They offer several setups:
| Stand Type | Features |
|---|---|
| The Executive | Heated, carpeted, table/chair, sliding windows, insulated walls, shingled roof |
| Portable 14-Foot | Deck with handrails |
| Wood Stands | 4x4 deck, chairs, sides, rails |
| Ladder Stands | Lightweight portable options |
For grouse hunting, they spend significant time in the woods taking notes on habitat and bird movement. They map productive areas on topographic and forestry maps so guests know exactly where to hunt. Grouse season typically starts the third week of September, with the best hunting running late September through October. The grouse population has been increasing in recent years.
Do-it-yourself processing available, or they'll handle it for $55—cutting, grinding, wrapping, and ready to transport. Sausage making available. Coolers and freezers on-site at no charge.
Limited spots available—reserve early. Minnesota hunting licenses required (contact DNR for regulations and applications).
28510 Highway 71 NE, Blackduck, MN 56630 Cell: 218.766.9667
