22lr Precision event

Monticello Sportsmen Club is running a .22 LR precision match on June 23, 2026—a rimfire competition that lets you test accuracy without breaking the bank on ammunition or entry fees. This is solid practice for precision fundamentals: trigger control, sight picture, and reading wind on steel or paper.

Rimfire matches typically run multiple stages with different shooting positions and distances. You'll be competing against other shooters in your skill bracket, so there's no pressure to already be fast or fancy. Low recoil, low noise stress, and tight groups make this the right place to build your baseline rifle skills.
