Park Sportsmens Club started in 1939 as Park Gun Club, Inc. What began in St. Louis Park moved to Bloomington in 1941, then relocated to its current Orono location in 1951 as Twin Cities growth pushed outward. Today it operates as a member-owned nonprofit corporation—everything built and maintained by volunteers who put in countless hours to keep costs affordable.
The range features four regulation trap fields, each equipped with modern auto-loading target throwers capable of throwing singles and doubles. One thrower has wobble target capability for added variety.
Summer Trap League runs early May through late August with league shoots on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings. Non-members welcome.
Late Winter Practice Schedule typically runs mid-March through early May on Sundays (except Easter) from 1:00pm–5:00pm. Open to everyone.
Special Shoots happen three times yearly: - Early May (Sunday) - Sunday before Thanksgiving - Two Sundays before Christmas
All special shoot events run 1:00pm–5:00pm and are open to non-members.
Non-members pay slightly more per target than members, but can participate in all practice shoots and special events.
Monthly club meetings happen the second Tuesday of each month (except December) in the clubhouse. May–August meetings start at 8:00pm; September–April at 7:00pm. This is where club business gets decided and members can have input on operations. Multiple volunteer positions are currently open.
