Full description and what we offer
Josh Ditch has been waterfowl hunting since childhood in St. Charles, Missouri, and that expertise shows in every mount that leaves his shop. He's not a generalist taxidermist—waterfowl is his sole focus. When you're not working, he's stringing decoys, training his Chesapeake Bay retriever, or cutting duck grass. That's the kind of obsession that makes the difference between a decent duck mount and one that looks like it just flew in.
Beyond the hunting credentials, Josh brings formal training to the craft. He holds multiple degrees in business and graphic design, which fuels the artistic precision required for lifelike taxidermy. Over 10 years of professional taxidermy work means he's refined the process—proper field care, quality components, proven techniques that keep birds looking perfect years down the road.
"I don't want to just mount a duck to your satisfaction or mine. I want you to be so happy when you pick up your bird you can't wait for next waterfowl season to add another trophy to your wall."
Not all taxidermists specialize in waterfowl—and that matters. Josh's 25 years in the marsh means he understands duck anatomy, natural posture, and authentic presentation in ways general taxidermists can't replicate. His field experience directly translates to accurate, lifelike poses.
