Saddle & Sirloin was established on November 23, 1940 by the founders of the American Royal Livestock Show. What started as a booster for the show evolved into a private club serving members interested in equestrian sports, shooting sports, and fellowship in a country setting just minutes from downtown Kansas City.
The club moved to its current location—144th and Holmes in south Kansas City, Missouri—in winter 1999. The 326+ acre property came with an existing equestrian center and empty buildings. Within years, the northwest side was transformed into what members describe as a world-class shotgun shooting facility.

Shooting sports are available year-round: - Friday: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM - Saturday/Sunday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
The facility features 100+ spacious stalls across six barns, 44 pasture spaces, and over 326 acres of trails. Horses receive three daily feedings, individualized special feeding when needed, daily turnouts, heated water in winter, and cooling options in summer.

The club's mission is to be a private equine facility promoting equestrian sports across all disciplines while providing unique social and sporting opportunities. Members share common goals: provide a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere in a country setting; promote equine and shooting sports through facilities, clinics, leagues, and competitions; encourage fellowship through dining and social events; and honor the club's tradition of supporting the American Royal.
