Full description and what we offer
7-V Ranch Outfitting operates exclusively on fair-chase hunts in the heart of eastern Montana's Garfield County. Located northwest of Jordan in the Brusett area, the outfit controls access to over 40 square miles of mostly private land across three locations with varying terrain.
Chan Childers (Outfitter License #63875) leads the operation with over 20 years of professional guiding. The team brings 50+ years of combined experience—these are guys who grew up hunting and fishing, not career switchers. Sheldon Bollinger started guiding for 7-V in 2001 and still hunts with his own three boys during season. Colin Manuel calls hunting "a foundational way to connect with nature and people"—his philosophy is that a successful hunt means an overall awesome experience, not just an animal down.
"With 50+ years of combined guiding experience, a healthy dose of grit and determination, and no small amount of good humor, these guys will make your hunting trip an experience of a lifetime."
Hunters get private quarters for their party and home-cooked, family-style meals. In the field, guides provide hot lunch when weather permits—home-processed sausages, brats, burgers, and soup are regular fare. Cowboy coffee over an open flame is standard.
Youth hunts are available. The outfit also facilitates taxidermy and meat processing through highly-rated Garfield County services (costs separate from hunt packages).
