Full description and what we offer
Last Call Outfitters guides waterfowl and predator hunts across South Dakota and Montana, with their primary focus on spring snow goose season (March 10-April 8). They run two distinct hunt operations with different styles and pricing.
Located less than a mile from the James River in East Central South Dakota, this setup uses a 32'×12' heated pit blind that accommodates up to 8 guns per group. Hunters work over a spread of 900+ full body decoys and a 10-speaker electronic call system.
Based out of Northeast South Dakota, the Nomad Lodge operation uses layout blinds over a large migrator spread with electronic calls. This setup is more mobile—your group handles transportation to the lodge, then they transport you to the field by four-wheeler trailer or sled.
"Putting snows feet down is hard to do and they manage to do it every year for us." - Matt F.
Hunting typically runs daylight to 11 AM, breaks mid-day for lunch and rest, then resumes 3-5 PM until dark. Spring brings variable conditions—mud, sheet water, ice, and snow—so layout blinds provide cover but aren't fully weatherproof.
Most groups book 3 consecutive days. You'll need 3″ BB-3 shot or personal preference (3 boxes/day recommended), your own shotgun, shell, and South Dakota/Montana hunting license. White or light-color camo is essential for snow goose hunting.
Both lodges are family-owned farm properties with clean, comfortable accommodations including heated floors, full kitchens, and gas fireplaces.
