Montana Bullet Supply makes cast bullets the old-fashioned way: by hand, with personal attention to each order. Located near Reed Point, this veteran-owned operation focuses on what reloaders actually need—whether that's affordable plinking rounds, hard-hitting hunting loads, or competition-grade ammunition.

• •They shoot what they make. This isn't marketing speak. The owner tested 550-grain BPCR bullets on a live bison hunt at 175 yards using a Shiloh Sharps Quigley rifle. When a customer needed heavy .45-70 loads, they hand-cast and hand-sized custom 340-grain RNFP bullets at $60 per 100. That's the difference between a company that sells bullets and one that understands the job.

• •Cowboy Action & Steel Plate Shooting: Polymer-coated "cowboy" alloy bullets starting under $0.10 each in boxes of 250. The softer alloy deforms on impact instead of shattering—less splatter, fewer ricochets.
• •Big Bore Hunting: 340-grain and 405-grain RNFP rounds in wheel weight and hardcast alloys, sized .458", from $60–$75 per 100.
• •Black Powder Cartridge Rifles (BPCR): 540, 550, and 560-grain Creedmoor and Postell design bullets in 20/1 alloy at $60–$75 per 100.
• •Muzzleloader Loads: Maxi-balls in most calibers at $15 per 25.
• •Custom Alloys: Not locked into one metal type. They'll use hardcast 92-6-2, 20/1, pure lead, wheel weight, linotype, or custom mixtures depending on your application.
