Vintage Military Fun Match

PPSA members are invited to join our Vintage Military Fun Match, a free honor-system postal match for as-issued vintage metallic-cartridge military rifles and faithful reproductions.

Eligible rifles must be models first issued between 1863 and 1950. The rifle itself does not have to have been manufactured during that time, but it must remain in military configuration. Iron sights only. No scopes or sporterized rifles.

The match runs from May 1 through June 15, 2026, and is limited to the first 50 PPSA members who sign up. Shooters may complete the course of fire anytime during the match window and mail their targets to the match coordinator for scoring.

Course of fire:Shooters will fire at a 19-inch bullseye placed at 300 yards. The course consists of 40 rounds total, fired on two targets: 5 prone, 5 sitting, 5 kneeling, and 5 standing on each target.

Prizes:First Place: $100 gift cardSecond Place: $75 gift cardThird Place: $50 gift cardAll non-winning participants will also be entered into a drawing for two additional $50 gift cards.

How to sign up:Email match coordinator John Vore at [email protected] with your full name, PPSA member number, mailing address, rifle make and caliber, and date of manufacture if known. If space is available, you will receive a return email and your targets will be mailed to you.
