Full description and what we offer
Flatland Flyways operates guided hunts across Nebraska and South Dakota, focusing on what matters: mallards, snow geese, teal, and the experience that comes with hunting the right places at the right time.
Andy Mink, one of their lead guides, grew up between Lincoln and Omaha hunting farm country before moving to South Dakota State University. He spent his college years learning the prairie pothole region's migration patterns—the timing, the fields, the decoy setups that actually work. After years of guiding at other operations, he partnered with owner Alex to bring that knowledge to Flatland Flyways.
"From early season teal zipping through the decoys, to late season geese dropping in the snow covered fields; it's hard for me to pick just one. Fooling all those eyes and ears is tough to do, but when it happens, it is one of the most amazing things I've ever experienced."
This isn't a generic outfitter. Their guides understand dog training, have skin in the game with their own hunting experience, and know the difference between a migration day and a regular November afternoon on the Platte River. They work the prairie pothole region—one of North America's best waterfowl destinations—because that's where the birds actually are.
