Full description and what we offer
Lookout Land & Livestock is a working family ranch in northwest Nebraska Unit 2, owned and operated by Patti Hollibaugh. Unlike outfitters who hunt leased ground a few weeks yearly, this is Patti's home. She lives on the property, manages the elk herd year-round, and knows exactly where the big bulls are and how they move.
Hunt mature bulls in the 350" range across Ash Creek and Hat Creek units. The operation uses permanent, well-placed blinds combined with spot-and-stalk tactics. Most hunters are comfortable shooting 250-300 yards. Note: General tags are Nebraska resident-only.
Two seasons—early and late—for hunters who want to fill freezers with quality meat. Cow elk are often harder to get into range than bulls, making the hunt technically challenging. Nebraska resident tags only.
Semi-guided and self-guided spring turkey hunts with a large flock on the property. The ranch winters 700-800 yearlings at headquarters, making turkeys available through early spring when they're vocal and active.
Limited predator hunting opportunities also available.

Terrain ranges from pivot-irrigated farmland to dry grassland, ponderosa-covered draws and ridges, and rolling hills. The ranch is one of Nebraska's most game-rich areas, with excellent populations of:
Patti Hollibaugh is a rancher, experienced hunter, guide, and outfitter. She doesn't run a "big-box" outfitting operation—it's a boutique setup where each hunt is customized. Her years of big-game hunting experience (beyond elk) means she's prepared for nearly any situation that arises.
Nebraska Elk Outfitters philosophy: "Quality before quantity." They prioritize honest communication, integrity, and commitment to success over volume.
"My wife and I agree our November 2021 hunt with Patti stands out as our greatest hunt ever... the 2021 hunt will always stand out for what it was, Pure Hunting Heaven! We saw Elk each day of that three day hunt... Patti's knowledge of how the herd moves and her understanding of the land was evident..." — John and Melissa Schere, Burwell, Nebraska
