Full description and what we offer
Birds & Bucks operates guided goose and duck hunts on properties spread from Wellington down to Ft Lupton and out to Wiggins. With Canada goose populations wintering in Colorado at record levels and dark goose limits now at 5 per day, their guides focus on getting you into productive blinds during peak flight times.
Not included: Guide gratuity, transportation to/from location, licenses, bird cleaning/storage, lodging, or meals (though they'll help you find accommodations in Greeley).
Their guides are in the field constantly—scouting conditions, adjusting blinds, and reading flight patterns. Duck hunts typically start an hour before sunrise (30 minutes before shooting time). Goose hunts meet later since geese don't usually fly until after sunrise. The exact meet time comes via phone call the evening before, once guides confirm where birds are moving.
Birds & Bucks also runs Nebraska snow goose hunts, Colorado turkey hunts, and big game packages—elk, deer, and pronghorn antelope across Colorado.
For hunters wanting guide expertise without the daily rate, they offer multi-hunt packages valid through the 2025-2026 season: - 10-hunt package: $2,900 ($290 per hunt) - 15-hunt package: $4,050 ($270 per hunt)
Use packages for yourself or guests, paired with existing hunts.
Shotgun, shells, valid license (Colorado small game + state and federal waterfowl stamps), and appropriate clothing. Dull colors work fine—full camo isn't necessary. For early-season ducks, 3" #3 shot is effective; for geese, 3" #1-BB.
