Catma Arms

Erol Catma founded this company in 1977 as a traditional single break-action shotgun manufacturer, building guns using complete hand work and gunsmithing. The operation evolved through the 1980s into traditional over-unders and side-by-sides under the Uzumlu Hunting Shotgun Corporation umbrella.

In 1993, Catma and seven partners established Zumrut Arms LLC to launch a complete line of gas-operated semi-automatic shotguns—a significant step toward modern production. The company operated successfully for about a decade before closing in 2000 due to economic pressures affecting the shotgun industry.

After a 15-year break, Catma returned in 2015 with a family-owned operation that combines traditional shotgun gunsmithing with state-of-the-art manufacturing. The facility spans 3,000 square meters of enclosed production space and 8,000 square meters of open area, located in the professionally organized industrial park in Beyşehir, Konya, Turkey.
