Full description and what we offer
The Prunty family has been guiding hunters through northeastern Nevada's backcountry since the early 1940s. Today, Master Guide Lowell Prunty and his daughters carry on that tradition with over 40 years of outfitting experience in the Jarbidge Wilderness and Bruneau River Complex.
The operation is USDA permitted under special use authorization and licensed through the Nevada Department of Wildlife.
"I saw more bull elk in four days than most hunters see in a lifetime. After discussing a plan of attack with my guide, we executed the plan and took a beautiful trophy bull the next day." — Rob Ethington, late-season elk hunter
Their crew brings serious credentials: accomplished backcountry navigation skills on horseback and mule, deep hunting knowledge of the territory, and trained chefs who keep hunters fueled with solid meals in remote camps. This isn't base camp hunting—it's full immersion in one of Nevada's most remote and productive hunting regions.
The Jarbidge Wilderness isn't easy to access, and it's not a spot for DIY first-timers. Having a guide family that knows every canyon, water source, and animal movement pattern makes the difference between a frustrating scouting mission and actually connecting on trophy game. The Pruntys understand what trophy hunters are after and how to execute the hunt once the opportunity appears.
Book Early - Trophy tags in Nevada's Jarbidge area are highly coveted. Once you draw your tag, contact Lowell's team immediately to lock in your hunt dates and plan your backcountry strategy.
