One Tree Outfitters

One Tree Outfitters is run by Travis and Ryan—both born and raised in southern New Jersey. They've spent the last decade hunting waterfowl and turkeys together, logging an average of 120 hunting days afield every season from September Canada geese through spring snow geese. That's not a marketing claim. That's what they actually do.

They specialize in species that matter:

• •Puddle Ducks - One of New Jersey's only guides offering consistent puddle duck hunts. Early season wood ducks and teal. Late season mallards, pintails, and black ducks from tidal marshes, freshwater impoundments, and agricultural fields.
• •Canada Geese - September resident geese to burn off rust before season opens. Regular season birds over comfortable layouts and heated pit blinds.
• •Snow Geese - Their reputation. Christmas through mid-February regular season, then spring conservation order hunts (January-March) when flocks of 50,000-100,000+ birds move through southern New Jersey. They run mobile rigs chasing daily feeds across several counties with Dave Smith Decoys and Avery GHGs.
• •Brant & Coastal Species - Atlantic Brant and Black Ducks. Bufflehead and bluebill. The Jersey coastline holds the largest wintering populations in the Atlantic Flyway.

They run spring turkey hunts in New Jersey (zones 20, 21, 22) and have fall hunts available. Also book out-of-state opportunities in Maryland and Arkansas for hunters working toward their US Super Slam.

They pass on bad shots. They scout daily during season. They're fixing gear in the off-season. They know state and federal regulations cold and emphasize fair chase.

Most hunts are half-day (until you hit your limit or around 11am, depending on tide and weather). Full-day hunts available by request.

• •Waterfowl Season Pass - Unique offering for new hunters or those short on time. Hunt with them throughout the season (September-March) on your schedule, plus get intel on other hunting opportunities.

• •Shells - They recommend 3" loads. #2-4s for early season teal, #2-BB for mid-late season Canadas and ducks, BB for snows. Specific guidance provided based on your hunt.

• •Dogs - Bring a well-trained retriever if you have one. No dogs that break or chase downrange while shooting.

Based in Greenwich, NJ 08323 in the heart of southern New Jersey hunting country. Philadelphia International Airport is about an hour away. They can recommend hotels 20-45 minutes from hunting locations.
