Bear hunts run behind well-trained hound packs during prime weather months in western and northern New Mexico. Accommodations include tent camps in the mountains or nearby motels. The outfit scouts all summer to track big bruins for a legitimate chance at success.
Most hunts draw on New Mexico public land. Lazy D assists with the draw system and can enroll you in the NM draw pool—increasing odds by 10%. They've harvested 402BC bulls, 180-class mule deer, 80-inch antelope, and 30-inch Barbary sheep.

Established in 2022, Lazy D didn't start from scratch. Casey learned to hunt young from his father and guided for other outfitters across New Mexico, Colorado, and Arizona before launching independently. The operation keeps hunts family-oriented—you may meet Casey's family, friends, and crew working camp.
Over the years we've guided 300-class bull elk into the 400s, 160–180 class mule deer regularly, 80-inch antelope, and several big Barbary sheep.
