Highpoint Taxidermy has been turning harvested game into museum-quality mounts since 1988. Located at 14868 State Route 13 in Thornville, Ohio—just 2 miles south of I-70, between Columbus and Zanesville—the studio serves central and eastern Ohio including Franklin, Delaware, Licking, Fairfield, and Muskingum counties.

The five-person team works full-time exclusively for Highpoint. Owner Zoran Saveski runs a tight operation where each person focuses on their specialty:

• •Dedicated shoulder mount specialist – handles all shoulder work
• •Two-person life-size team – manages full-body mounts and large shoulder pieces
• •Bird taxidermist with 35+ years experience – waterfowl, upland birds, turkeys
• •Finishing specialist – owner handles all final work and fish painting

• •Nobody gets paid by piecework. All staff are hourly. This matters. It means nothing gets rushed.

A great mount starts before it gets to the studio. Highpoint provides detailed guidance on:

• •How to skin and field dress specific animals
• •Freezing vs. salting protocols
• •Preventing freezer burn and hair slip
• •Proper packing and transport

They'll coordinate getting trophies back from hunts anywhere—local to cross-country. For international hunts, they handle import paperwork and logistics to avoid hassles.

Keep mounts looking new: - Windex on a soft towel, wiping with the fur/feathers - Keep away from direct sunlight (causes bleaching) - Avoid cigarette smoke (causes discoloration) - No humidity buildup
