Full description and what we offer
Naturally Wild Taxidermy preserves the memory of every hunt. There's a story behind every trophy—the weather, the smells, your heart pounding when the animal stepped into range. Sam LaFond captures that moment in a lifelike mount that lasts a lifetime.
Sam grew up hunting and fishing outside the Adirondack Park in upstate New York. In 2009, she moved to Alaska and quickly distinguished herself in the taxidermy industry, eventually opening Naturally Wild Taxidermy.
Over the past decade, she's mastered two specialized crafts:
Sam has been featured in Hunt Alaska Magazine as one of Alaska's best taxidermists, in the Anchorage Daily News as one of the state's best female taxidermists, and has spoken on public radio about new techniques in the industry.
Naturally Wild Taxidermy was established in Alaska. After many successful years, the business relocated to upstate New York. Currently making the way back to Alaska with updates coming soon.
The shop operates by appointment only at a renovated location in Queensbury, NY. Hunters across all states are welcome—proper fish and game documentation is required prior to receiving work.
