Paris Gun Club operates as a member-owned range facility at 6560 Trenton Road, Utica, NY 13502 that focuses on organized shooting competitions and league play. The club runs three primary competitive programs throughout the year, welcoming both members and non-members to participate.
Match Details: - Open to shooters 12 and older (non-members welcome) - Relays at 4:00 PM, 5:00 PM, and possibly 6:00 PM - Weekly matches held throughout the season - Each match consists of 3 completed targets with 10 shots per target - 10 minutes allowed per target - Uses NRA Official 50 ft. Light Rifle Target A-32 - Maximum score per target: 100 (perfect match score: 300)
Equipment Requirements: - 22 caliber rimfire rifles only - Shooting position: off-hand standing - Target distance: 50 feet - Maximum gun + scope weight: 7.5 pounds - No slings or artificial support devices allowed - Designed for competitive shooting without expensive specialized equipment—many shooters use equipment they already own
Schedule: - Plate League: Wednesdays, 5:00–7:00 PM (begins October 22nd) - Bullseye League: Thursdays, 5:00–7:00 PM (begins October 23rd)
League Fees: - $5 annual fee for PGC members - $10 annual fee for non-members - Nightly range fees remain consistent with prior years - Open to all shooters, including non-club members

Membership renewal deadline is December 31st to avoid the $100 new initiation fee. Dues have remained unchanged at $75 single and $90 family.
The club maintains an active leadership team and welcomes community participation in range maintenance and club events.
Paris Gun Club schedules regular work nights to maintain the facility. Members are encouraged to participate in upkeep activities like emptying catcher trays and cleaning the range floor. These events typically take 30 minutes depending on volunteer participation.
The club maintains information on New York State pistol license recertification requirements. Note: NYSP handles recertification for most of the state, but Westchester County, Nassau County, Suffolk County, and New York City handle their own procedures through local licensing authorities.
