Pheasant Ridge Hunting Preserve has been operating since 1991 as an exclusive hunting destination in the foothills of the Adirondacks. Located in Greenwich, New York, between Saratoga Springs and Manchester, Vermont, the preserve specializes in English-style Continental pheasant hunts featuring champion retriever dogs from the Dogs for All Seasons Club.
The preserve offers a variety of wingshooting experiences:
Hunts take place along a wooded ridge featuring twelve strategically positioned uphill "butts" around an irregularly shaped hill. A minimum of 150 pheasants are released per hunt with one or two hunters at each gun position. The Master of the Hunt, bird boys, and professional dog handlers accompany hunters in the field, with movements coordinated by horn signals. Hunters experience challenging overhead and passing shots with exceptional retriever support.
