Full description and what we offer
War Zone Airsoft operates a sprawling outdoor field 20 minutes from Buffalo and just minutes from Niagara Falls. The 18-acre property has an urban/industrial/post-apocalyptic aesthetic—it originated as an old junkyard, giving it authentic decay and varied terrain for tactical gameplay. Established in October 2010, the field is fully insured and maintains a well-organized structure for players of all experience levels.
Honorable players aged 10 and up can participate during open play dates. Minors aged 10-17 may be dropped off by a parent or guardian; adults 18+ have no restrictions beyond following field conduct rules.

Every player must bring or rent: boots (not sneakers), hard-shell kneepads, gloves, long pants, a 22-channel FRS/GMRS radio, bright red dead rag (1'x1' minimum), ANSI/ASTM-rated eye protection, backtag with player ID, and a watch.
Eye protection must be ANSI Z87.1 and/or ASTM F-1776-99a rated with full foam seals and elastic bands. Mesh goggles are prohibited. Players under 18 require full-face protection—options include paintball masks, full-seal goggles with face shields, or secured shemaghs. Radios are mandatory for safety and tactical communication.
Enola Gaye cold-burning smoke grenades are permitted at staff discretion (seasonal fire hazard restrictions apply). Grenade launchers firing burst bb's must be arced above 25 degrees or used as direct-fire with a 25-foot minimum engagement distance. All grenade hits are permanent kills—no medic revival.
Reusable hand grenades with metal components must be thrown underhand only. Hand grenades have a 20-foot kill radius; the only cover that saves you is the full length or width of a vehicle. Pyrotechnic grenades are prohibited.
Airsoft is a game of honor—call your hits. Cheating results in immediate ejection. Verbal abuse, excessive profanity, slurs, and unsportsmanlike conduct are grounds for dismissal. Aircraft fly over and trains run nearby; never point weapons at planes or trains. No illegal drugs or alcohol. Stealing, vandalism, or threatening behavior will be reported to police.
Staff decisions are final. If you have a problem, get the suspect player's backtag number and give it to a referee—do not confront players yourself. Game control and staff monitor channel 22 (462.725 mHz) for emergencies and concerns.
Radios are mandatory safety equipment. All radios must use FRS/GMRS 22-channel frequencies tuned to 00 subchannel. Channels 1 and 22 are reserved for staff and emergency communications. Teams are assigned specific channels before scenario start (typically green=channel 17, tan=channel 21). Electronic warfare—scanning opposing frequencies, jamming, sending false signals—is prohibited and considered cheating. Radios cannot be turned off during play; if your batteries die, you must retire from the field.
Shirt color defines team designation. Green team wears dark clothing (navy, black, dark browns, Woodland camo). Tan team wears light colors (khaki, tan, white, Multicam, arid camos). Red is reserved for dead rags only—no red gear, patches, or clothing. Civilian outfits are acceptable if they align with team colors. Players are encouraged to bring both green and tan loadouts in case rebalancing is necessary.
Only two players allowed on the second level at any time. All grenade rules apply; any detonation within 20 feet of the building perimeter kills all players on ground and second floors. You must walk up and down stairs with both hands free on the railing—weapons must be slung or left behind. No weapon usage on stairs.
