Iroquois Rod and Gun Club has separate ranges for small bore, trap, skeet, pistol and archery, promoting safe participation in firearms, archery and the shooting sports since 1924. The indoor range is limited to rifles no larger than .22 caliber. Outdoors, rifles other than .22 caliber are shot through a blockhouse, and a members-only pistol range sits apart from the trap and archery grounds, which stay open through the off season.
The club runs a members-only pistol league, capped at 24 shooters, that requires club-approved target ammunition, holsters and proper eye and ear protection. Friday evening trap and a Lost Arrow archery league are both open to members and non-members.
Restrictions
- •Members only for most activities (some public trap/archery seasons)
- •No rifles larger than .22 caliber on indoor range
- •No 5.7x28 or 22 TCM ammunition allowed
- •Valid NYS pistol permit required for handgun shooting
- •Factory ammunition only (no reloads) for pistol league
- •Outdoor ranges closed for season except trap and archery
- •No tree removal or overnight equipment storage without written board approval
- •10 mph speed limit on club roads and parking lot
