Carolina Outdoor Recreation

Carolina Outdoor Recreation operates a dedicated hunting outfitter in one of North Carolina's premier whitetail counties. Located approximately 30 miles north of Rocky Mount and 3.4 miles west of I-95 at Exit 160 (Highway 561), they control several thousand acres of prime hunting land—a mix of farmland, woods, and cutovers with the third-highest deer density per square mile in the state.

Whitetail Deer Hunts - 2-day packages (Friday-Saturday) - 3-day packages (Monday-Wednesday) - 5-day packages (Monday-Friday) - 6-day packages (Monday-Saturday)

North Carolina law allows six deer per hunter with at least three does required. Carolina Outdoor Recreation expects hunters to take a minimum of three does.

Halifax County ranked #1 in deer kills statewide in 1999 and #3 in deer density per square mile in North Carolina.

Comfortable lodging and all meals are included with every package. The outfitter accommodates up to 16 hunters daily, though typical groups run 12-15 people. Non-hunting spouses are welcome at $45 per night.
