Carolina Woods & Water operates out of Scotland Neck, about 30 miles east of I-95, with access to serious acreage. Their 15,000-acre spread across Halifax and Edgecombe counties includes roughly 5,400 acres of cleared land ideal for deer hunting, plus hardwood ridges, swamp bottoms, young cut-overs, and pine thickets.
Three-quarters of their hunting land is under active management, broken into three blocks: 5,200 acres, 3,200 acres, and 1,800 acres. The results speak for themselves:

Combined with North Carolina's all-time-high deer population and virtually no hunting pressure across their acreage, Carolina Woods & Water offers genuine opportunity for a serious whitetail hunt.
The operation maintains cleared shooting lanes throughout the property. They've installed small food plots stocked with a mix of soybeans, clover, wheat, and rye. In areas without plots, loose corn and corn feeders keep deer moving.
Deer stands range from 8' to 16' metal box blinds, plus tripods, ground blinds, and ladder stands—all metal construction and either boxed in or camouflaged. The entire off-season is spent scouting and positioning stands for maximum opportunity.
Guests stay in one of two hunting lodges:
Both feature fully furnished interiors with full kitchens, washer/dryer, central heat and air, satellite TV with VCR, and sleeping arrangements (two hunters per room, individual beds). Ideal for spouse or parent-child combinations.
Outside, a spacious furnished deck with grill overlooks the property. The cleaning shelter includes a 10' x 25' walk-in, 4 gambrels, ice machine, and cutting tables for processing game.
Beyond whitetail, Carolina Woods & Water offers turkey hunting during NC season. They've run youth turkey hunts (documented success with young hunters like Kayla in 2015) and cater to serious gobbler hunters. The 2019 turkey season was noted as "a huge success."
