Full description and what we offer
Premier Hunting Leases runs a digital marketplace where individual hunters and hunt clubs can search, bid on, and lease hunting rights across more than 600,000 acres of private land. The platform is organized geographically by state and county, making it straightforward to find available properties in your area.
The lease process is simple: create an account, search the map for Recreational License Units (RLUs) that match your needs, place a bid, and once accepted, e-sign your license agreement and pay online. New members typically have payment due one week after bid acceptance. Returning clubs pay renewal fees by April 30th each season. Leases run for one-year terms (July 1 - June 30), though properties may offer prorating after January 1st of the current lease term.
The interactive map lets you click and drag to explore available RLUs, zoom in and out, and use the RLU Filter to narrow your search. You can filter by acreage (minimum/maximum), habitat features, road quality, and other characteristics. Once you zoom in, RLU boundaries display clearly. Most properties allow you to view the land in person before bidding—just wear blaze orange safety gear and leave all weapons at home during viewings.
Bid Status Guide: Pending means your bid is currently highest. Outbid means someone bid higher (you can increase your offer). Accepted means you've won the lease and can proceed to e-sign. Declined means another bid was selected.
Hunt clubs are defined as an individual or group who license hunting rights together. Each club needs a primary contact person (club president, secretary, or treasurer) who handles all correspondence, invoices, and account management. This person must have reliable email and internet access since all official communications are sent digitally.
Club membership is flexible:
All club members must be listed by name and address before your license is executed.
Online-only payments accepted: credit card or e-check through the ONECONNECT portal. Personal checks, certified checks, and money orders are NOT accepted.

Insurance is included in your license fee and covers the property and your membership. License prices are reviewed annually and may increase due to inflation and market conditions. Refunds are handled case-by-case per the terms of your license agreement; there is no refund once a lease is executed.
Food Plots: Yes, but only with written approval. You must submit a location map, specific seed mix, and planting/maintenance procedures. Generally, retired logging decks are approved locations, NOT roads. You cover all costs and maintenance.
Guests: Allowed with restrictions. All guests must sign Premier Hunting Leases's Release and Waiver of Liability agreement BEFORE arriving on the property. No signed waiver = no access.
Gates & Locks: Most gates allow you to add a lock on one side or combination with other padlocks. However, landowners and third parties may have right-of-way access, so respect their locks too.
Signage: You may post property boundaries at your own cost. Only aluminum, plastic, or non-damaging fasteners may be used on live trees to protect harvesting equipment.
ATV/Off-Road Use: Permitted only for ordinary hunting activities (stand placement, feeder filling, retrieving game). ATV use in wet weather that damages roads is prohibited.
Shooting Lanes: You may clear brush from existing lanes only. Cutting commercial timber to create new lanes is prohibited.
Camping: Permitted in designated areas with written permission (depends on your specific property).
Not Allowed: Subleasing, commercial hunting services, selling hunting rights, or any commercial activity. These violations result in license cancellation. Rude, belligerent, aggressive, or threatening behavior also terminates your agreement.
Many leases operate under Quality Deer Management principles—a philosophy that balances deer herd health with hunter goals. QDM typically involves protecting young bucks (yearlings and some 2.5-year-olds) while harvesting adequate female deer to maintain healthy populations. This produces quality deer, quality habitat, and quality hunting experiences. Learn more at www.qdma.com.
Harvesting can occur on any lease at any time depending on timber age and market conditions. It's your responsibility to remove tree stands from harvest areas. The company tries to notify you with maps when harvesting occurs, but weather, contractor schedules, and mill demand sometimes prevent advance notice. This is part of leasing from a working forest.
Trespassing, dumping, or poaching: First contact local law enforcement (game wardens, conservation officers, forest rangers, state police). Then notify customer service. You're expected to act responsibly in all situations.
