Bison Ranch Outfitters sits in the densest concentration of potholes in the country—the Missouri Coteau of North Dakota. This means serious waterfowl opportunity without the hassle of boat access. Most potholes here don't have adequate boat launches anyway, so decoy and pass shooting are what work.
These are semi-guided hunts, meaning you come prepared to hunt independently. Here's what's included:
Steel No. 2 and 4 shot only. Bring your own chest waders.
Full guiding service, dogs, game cleaning, meals, state/federal licensing, or gratuities.

Beyond waterfowl, Bison Ranch also offers upland hunts and coyote hunts. You can double up—hunt waterfowl in the morning, then pursue upland game in the afternoon if you limit out.
The ranch also runs bison hunts with field dressing and processing. Fall 2026 bison hunts are sold out; Fall 2027 is now booking.
