Aspen Ridge Outfitting

Aspen Ridge Outfitting operates a dedicated hunting farm near Walhonding, offering guided upland bird hunts and clay shooting experiences from December through March. The operation was taken over in 2020 by Breven and Aspen Scroggins, who left careers and sold their property to pursue the business full-time.

They run three main offerings:

• •Field Hunts - Continental breakfast followed by guided hunts with trained dogs. You can bring your own dogs too. Half-day and full-day packages available.

• •Standard Tower Shoot - European-style 65-foot tower with birds presented from eight stations. Continental breakfast, hot lunch, and a field hunt included. The setup lets them customize difficulty and bird count for your group.

• •Premier Tower Shoot - Everything in the standard package plus four additional mystery birds, hot homestyle breakfast, expanded lunch menu, and 5-stand sporting clays added to the day.

Their dedicated clay building overlooks one of several ponds on the property. Clays approach from different angles at each station to keep things challenging. Starting packages at 50 clays per shooter, expandable based on needs. The course changes seasonally so repeat visitors get different challenges.

They provide lodging and event space on the property, making it work for family hunts or corporate outings. The owners have deep roots in bird hunting heritage (Breven's grandfather was a bird dog enthusiast), and they've designed each experience to be repeatable—people come back year after year.
