Global Archery Products, Inc. is the umbrella company behind Archery Tag®, the ORIGINAL equipment brand for extreme archery. Founded by John Jackson in 2011, the company created an entirely new sport by combining dodgeball-style gameplay with archery using patented foam-tipped arrows.
The story started simple: In early 2009, Jackson—who had a lifelong passion for archery and the outdoors—collaborated with manufacturers on an archery product when the idea struck: what if you could shoot foam-tipped arrows at each other safely? Within an hour, the first prototype existed. Jackson patented the "NON-LETHAL ARROW" (U.S. Patents #8,449,413 and #8,932,159) and the sport was born.
