Sportsmen for Conservation - Guernsey County

Guernsey County Sportsmen for Conservation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting ethical hunting and sportsmanship, conservation of wildlife and natural resources, and preservation of constitutional rights. Located on approximately 120 acres of woods and meadows between Cambridge and New Concord, Ohio, the facility serves as a premier destination for shooting sports enthusiasts and outdoor recreation.

The club offers comprehensive shooting ranges to accommodate various disciplines:

• •Rifle Range: 200-yard rifle range for precision and distance shooting
• •Pistol Ranges: Two separate 50-yard pistol ranges for handgun practice and training
• •Archery Range: Dedicated practice archery range with organized bow shoots throughout the year
• •Bow Shoots: Competitive and recreational archery events held monthly with multiple classes including Cubs, Women, Recurve, Hunter, and Open divisions

Beyond shooting sports, the facility includes:

• •Stocked Catch-and-Release Fishing Pond: Available for members and guests
• •Clubhouse: Indoor facility with kitchen amenities, available for rental and private events
• •Grounds: 120 acres of maintained property suitable for outdoor activities

The club is located at 2961 Meadow Road, Cambridge, OH 43725, 0.8 miles north of State Route 40. New members are always welcome. Monthly club meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 7:30 PM. Membership applications and liability releases are available online or in person.

The club hosts regular bow shoots throughout the year, with 2025 dates ranging from March through September. Events feature 30 targets, start at 8 AM with last shooters finishing by noon, and offer prizes for top performers in each class. Entry is $10 per person ($15 and younger shoot free).
