The Mattaponi Sundowners is a [SASS](/handbook/org-sass) affiliated Posse that shoots at the West Point Gun Club in Shacklefords, VA on the 3rd Sunday and 4th Saturday each month (with exceptions). For Sunday shoots, registration starts at 11:00, shooter’s meeting at noon, start shooting at 12:30. Full description and what to expect
The Mattaponi Sundowners is a SASS affiliated Posse that shoots at the West Point Gun Club in Shacklefords, VA on the 3rd Sunday and 4th Saturday each month (with exceptions). For Sunday shoots, registration starts at 11:00, shooter’s meeting at noon, start shooting at 12:30. For Saturday shoots, registration starts at 8:30, shooter’s meeting at 9:30, start shooting at 10:00. New shooters must observe one match prior to shooting with the Mattaponi Sundowners unless they can show that they have shot with another CAS club. Spectators are welcome anytime; eye protection is mandatory; hearing protection is strongly recommended. WPGC Members During normal cowboy matches one of the shooting bays will be open for general club use, limitation of shooting within 50 feet of berm. Movable target stands are available.
