Eastern Ohio Conservation Club

Eastern Ohio Conservation Club operates three separate shooting facilities on their property at 10366 W Calla Rd in Salem, Ohio. Each range has different access levels and schedules designed around the shooting calendar.

Wednesdays at 6:00 PM - Open to the public. EOCC partners with YSU's Trap Club and actively recruits new shooters. The facility handles all skill levels. Beginners won't feel out of place; members help newcomers get started.

Dan coordinates an EOCC traveling trap league team for members interested in competitive shooting. All experience levels welcome.

New lighting installed for extended shooting hours.

• •Thursdays: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM (May 13th through summer)

Public welcome. The club actively recruits shooters and advertises "come out and shoot" with friends.

Members only. Closed Sundays during skeet and Wednesday evenings during trap.

Open daily now that pheasant season has closed. Paper targets only. Shooters are expected to clean up when finished. The club enforces parking rules—don't drive on grass when ground is soft; use designated parking areas.

• •How to join: Sponsorship program. A current member in good standing (12+ months membership) must sponsor candidates, who then go through an interview process.

• •New member restrictions: Can fish immediately upon joining but cannot hunt until they complete 20 work hours and purchase a membership badge.

• •Annual work requirement: 20 hours per year. Hours can be worked or purchased at $20/hour. No hunting or fishing allowed when hours are past due.

• •Membership dues: Paid via check by mail or at regular meetings (first Wednesday of Jan/Feb/Mar at 7:00 PM).

Members must wear hunter orange during small game season per Ohio law. Tree stands require: - Owner's name permanently marked - Safety harness (no exceptions) - Regular maintenance and inspection (unsafe stands removed)

New hunting properties are posted. Members must stay on EOCC land. Property map available on website.

Lake fishing open with enforced size restrictions:

• •Traveling Trap League - Competitive schedule with brackets. 2025 schedule posted.

• •Gun Bash - February 28, 2026 (moved to Embassy in Boardman). Tickets available.

• •Regular meetings: Second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM

• •Board meetings: First Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM

• •Work parties: Organized maintenance including firewood cutting (5-foot sections), property spraying, clubhouse projects. Bring chainsaws and gloves. Work hours count toward annual requirement.
