10 Star Hunting Guides

10 Star Hunting Guides operates on private farms across Canadian and Blaine Counties, offering pen-raised quail hunts and duck hunting trips. Owner Dick Balenseifen and his guides have over 50 years combined experience taking hunters into terrain that ranges from rolling hills and grasslands to creeks and plum bush thickets.

The operation raises over 5,000 birds annually for their hunts. You can book:

• •Full Day Quail Hunts - 30 birds, $650 per gun (morning and afternoon with lunch break)
• •Half Day Quail Hunts - 15 birds, $350 per gun
• •Duck Hunts - $350 for morning hunts, decoy hunting on private ponds and rivers
• •Combination Hunts - $650 per gun (2-hour duck hunt plus 15-bird quail hunt)
• •Chuckar Hunts - $10 per bird on special request

Hunts run October 1 through March 1 for quail season, with duck hunts during Oklahoma's duck season.

10 Star hunts behind German Shorthaired and English Pointers with strong noses that work close to hunters. Customers consistently mention the dogs in reviews—they're trained, well-behaved, and entertaining to watch. You can bring your own dogs if you prefer.

Dick designs hunts to match your experience. Beginners get open shooting areas with plenty of opportunities. Advanced hunters can tackle wooded terrain with tougher shots. The guides handle bird cleaning and field preparation.
