Full description and what we offer

High Mesa Outfitters operates hunting adventures on ranch property spanning the Oklahoma Panhandle and Southeast Colorado, roughly 35 miles southwest of Springfield, Colorado. Their territory covers terrain where you can stand in three different states and see dinosaur tracks within 30 minutes—and hunt multiple species on the same property.

All hunts are 100% fair chase and fully guided. Your package covers:

  • Professional guide service (licensed, 35+ years combined experience)
  • Ranch lodging in a three-bedroom, two-bath house
  • All meals and beverages
  • Transportation during hunts
  • Trophy caping and quartering
  • Access to diverse wildlife on thousands of acres

You bring your hunting license, tag, and rifle. That's it.

The ranch holds elk (the primary draw), mule deer, whitetail deer, bighorn sheep, Merriam's turkeys, and antelope. Guides know the terrain intimately and adjust daily based on animal activity and sign.

"We were on Elk every day. My guide made me pass up a bull that I would have shot anywhere, anytime on the first afternoon...The next bull that began bugling was about to make that other bull look like a pup." — Bryan Goode

  • Experience Level: All ages and experience levels welcome. First-time hunters get the same attention as veterans.
  • The Guides: Andrew Sleeker leads the operation. Hunters consistently mention his expertise reading animals, calling techniques, and field cooking skills. Guide knowledge extends to animal maturity assessment—they'll coach you to pass inferior bulls for better opportunities.
  • The Lodge: You're sleeping in a comfortable bed and showering after long days, not roughing it in a tent. A fire pit sits outside for evening conversations. The kitchen is serious—guides cook full meals daily.
  • The Landscape: Southeast Colorado high mesa country offers breath-taking views. Sunsets from the ranch are noted as "picture perfect" by multiple hunters. Wildlife diversity means you'll see four or five species in a single day.

Hunts are booked in advance through their website. Reserve your fully guided adventure online.
