Jon Hann started training working bird dogs at 17 after his uncle passed down a bird hunting tradition. That turned into a career as one of the top bird dog trainers in the United States. He created the Perfection Method—a custom approach that works equally well on soft dogs and stubborn ones. Jessica joined in 2012 with a horse training background; now she specializes in force fetch and gunshiy dogs while the kennel maintains fantastic trial horses for the program.

Perfection Kennel is intentionally small. They limit their number of training dogs because one person cannot train 50 dogs. That's not marketing talk—that's their operating philosophy. Fewer dogs means your bird dog gets quality training time, whether you're a weekend hunter or a serious field trialer.

They only train. No breeding programs. No selling started puppies. No shooting preserve. No guided hunts. This laser focus on training—and training alone—is what separates them from larger operations.

Located 9 miles northeast of Buffalo, Oklahoma, Perfection Kennel sits on over 300 acres of varied terrain:

• •Small strands of timber and long ditches

Most bird dogs live in cities. Getting access to real hunting habitat is nearly impossible for most owners. Oklahoma provides some of the best quail hunting in the country, with multiple WMAs within 30 minutes of the kennel.

Chain link kennels set on concrete. Temperature controlled. Indoor and outdoor access. One dog per kennel only. Kept clean daily. Perfection Kennel is a licensed facility, regularly inspected. All dogs require official health certificates upon arrival.
