Sierra Bullets built their reputation on one thing: accuracy. For over 70 years, they've manufactured bullets trusted by competitive shooters, hunters, and reloaders across North America.
Here's what sets Sierra apart: they publish comprehensive reloading data for their bullets. Serious reloaders rely on Sierra's load data tables because they're tested, documented, and conservative. Their blog hosts data for everything from 6mm Creedmoor to 300 AAC Blackout to specialized cartridges.
"A tradition of precision since 1947"
Recent publications include detailed 6mm Creedmoor data tested in 1-8" twist barrels, specifications for powder choices (H4350, RE-17, RE-15, Win 760, Vihtavuori N540), and primer recommendations. They've also released data for 6.5 Creedmoor, 224 Valkyrie, and new MatchKing offerings.
Load data accuracy matters. Sierra tests their bullets across multiple powder options and charge weights. Their manual has been the fifth edition for years, but they continue publishing supplemental data online. The 5th Edition Reloading Manual can be downloaded with their supplemental data.
Sierra bullets are competition-grade. Precision Rifle Series (PRS) competitors have adopted the 6mm Creedmoor, which Sierra supports with detailed load data. The cartridge's efficiency, 30-degree shoulder, and AR10 magazine compatibility make it ideal for long-range work—and Sierra provides the ammunition development for it.
Sierra maintains an active tech line (800-223-8799) and email support ([email protected]) for reload questions. Their blog includes customer feedback and responses to specific cartridge requests. They're transparent about what data is complete and what's in development.
Sierra continues developing new offerings. Recent posts mention ongoing manual updates, new MatchKing bullets, and expanded GameChanger caliber options. Customer requests drive development—they listen to what shooters actually need.
