Full description and what we offer

Combative Firearms Training specializes in something most ranges don't touch: making better firearms instructors. Todd and Chrystal Fletcher teach from coast to coast, training instructors and shooters in all 50 states plus Italy, Germany, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Trinidad & Tobago, England, Denmark, and Canada.

Their credentials matter. Todd earned the 2022 International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association (ILEETA) Trainer-of-the-Year award and now serves on the ILEETA Advisory Board. He also received the 2023 International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors (IALEFI) Memorial Match Top Gun Award. Both are published authors with articles in firearms instructor, law enforcement, and training publications covering active shooter response, leadership, instructor development, and reality-based training.

The difference: Most training focuses on how to shoot. Combative Firearms Training teaches shooters and instructors why, so they self-diagnose mistakes and improve faster.

Combative Firearms Training uses evidence-based methods drawn from adult learning principles, training curriculum research, psychology, and neuroscience. Every drill has a purpose. Every concept connects to real-world application.

"We believe skill development, 'the how', is only one of the goals of effective firearms training. Understanding 'the why' allows shooters to self diagnose and correct their mistakes, leading to accelerated improvement in their knowledge, skills and abilities."

Instructions focus on: - Accurate shot placement under pressure - Multiple threat identification and engagement - Shooting while moving - Malfunction clearing and weapon manipulation - Low-light and reduced-visibility operations - Cover and concealment use - Unconventional shooting positions - Verbal commands and communication
