Full description and what we offer
BIGS Outfitter is owned and operated by Brian Loper, a Central Oregon-based guide with two decades of experience across Wyoming's mountains, Western Oregon's forests, Eastern Oregon's deserts, and Northern Mexico. He's built a reputation for turning controlled-draw tags into trophy hunts on some of Oregon's most challenging terrain.
BIGS guides hunts for:
All hunts include meals, camp accommodations, and transportation from the nearest town to the hunt location. Companion rates available upon request.
BIGS currently holds BLM permits for Burns, Vale, Lake View, Medford, Roseburg, and Coos Bay districts—covering a large portion of Oregon's controlled-draw units. Bend and Salem district permits are coming soon, which will give access to 100% of Oregon's BLM land. Forest Service permits for statewide guided hunts are in progress.
Brian is Oregon guide #3367 and works exclusively with controlled-hunt tags awarded through Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW). Application deadlines typically fall in May with winners announced in mid-June.

Client testimonials highlight Brian's dedication to pre-hunt scouting, flexibility in hunt style (pack-in or basecamp), and personal attention to detail. Hunters consistently mention his work ethic and knowledge of sheep, mule deer, and goat hunting across Oregon's diverse terrain. The focus is on finding mature animals and creating a successful, memorable experience—not just tagging out.
Once you've applied for and drawn your controlled-hunt tag, contact BIGS directly to discuss your specific hunt.
