Reelfowl Outfitters

ReelFowl Outfitters operates guided hunts and fishing trips across central and north Texas. Owner Hayden Bleidt is the third generation of waterfowl guides in his family and bases out of the Texas Panhandle—an area he chose specifically for its variety and consistency. Guide Dylan Vardeman grew up on the Brazos River and has chased waterfowl since age 12.

• •*Service members hunt dove for $50/day. Duck hunts between Waco and Hillsboro run $250/day. 2-person minimum, max 7 per group.

ReelFowl provides all decoys, blinds, and dogs. You bring your gun, ammo, and camouflage. Texas hunting license required for all hunts; migratory bird stamp needed for waterfowl.

All hunts run early morning to midday, with afternoon hunts available by request. If birds aren't cooperating, you can hunt all day or return in the afternoon—the guides focus on giving you the best shot at your daily limit.

• •March through August on Lake Whitney (1 hour south of Dallas), with additional trips available on Richland-Chambers and Lake Waco.

Two trip times daily: 6am-11am or 1pm-5pm. Limit is 5 fish per person, 18 inches and longer. ReelFowl provides all bait, tackle, fuel, and poles. Catch is cleaned, filleted, and bagged at no extra charge.
