"I've used 10+ outfitters over the last 20 years and Sour Apple was hands down the most responsive and well-managed of all of them. They did exactly what they said they would do in the time frame they agreed to." — Nathan Loren
Camps sit 3–5 miles apart and at least 3 miles from trailheads for isolation. You get a riding animal per group member. Pack animals cap at 120 lbs total (60 lbs per side). Multiple 13–18 gallon totes or 48–60 quart coolers work best—bulk matters as much as weight.
Minimum two hunters per hunt. 30% deposit required to hold your spot (non-refundable, but can roll to next season for medical emergency or extreme weather). Full balance due 30 days before hunt. One non-tag holder allowed per two paid hunters at half price. You're responsible for purchasing your own license and tags through ODFW.
Base camps are 1–3 hours' drive from Joseph, Oregon depending on season and unit. They'll send you trailhead directions and exact pack-in dates before your hunt.
