Wamic Recreation Company operates Badger Creek Hunting, a private Oregon hunting and recreation lodge nestled in the eastern foothills of Mt. Hood in North-Central Oregon. The operation specializes in upland bird hunting on two Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) licensed preserves, focusing on pheasants, chukars, valley quail, and Hungarian partridge with professional guides and high-caliber hunting dogs.
The lodge accommodates up to 24 guests across three fully-provisioned log cabins. Each cabin includes hot tubs, BBQs, gourmet kitchens, fireplaces, spacious outdoor decks, and game tables (pool, foosball, shuffleboard, ping pong). Professional catering is available to handle meals so you spend more time hunting.
Beyond hunting, the property has: - Two clay shooting courses - 5-stand and skeet - Rifle and pistol ranges for honing your skills - Three stocked lakes for fly fishing large Kamloop rainbows and largemouth bass
A typical multi-day trip starts with clay shooting or fishing the first afternoon, followed by a guided 1/2-day upland hunt. Birds are professionally processed and packaged for departure. Day visitors from Portland or Bend are welcome—the lodge sits just two hours from either city.
All birds harvested are professionally processed and packaged for your departure.
When you're not hunting or shooting, the property offers whitewater rafting, hiking, camping, swimming, boating, water skiing, snow skiing, snowmobiling, horseback riding, and birdwatching.
