White River Outfitters and Game Birds operates a 25,000-acre private ranch in Tygh Valley, Oregon—just two hours from Portland. Unlike most hunting preserves, they don't require membership. You call, book your hunt, and go. No long-term contracts. No mandatory fees. Hunt when it works for you.
Game Bird Hunting - Ring neck pheasants ($40 per bird) - Chukar - Wild turkey - Hunting season runs August 1 through March 31
Deer Hunting - Three different hunting units: West Biggs, Maupin, and White River - Black-tailed deer - Turkey
Additional Opportunities - Coyote and bobcat hunting - Fly fishing - Day trips or multi-day hunts available

No Oregon hunting license required. Preserve permits available for purchase at the ranch.
Reservations are required. Call (541) 993-4294 or email [email protected]. They ask for 24-hour notice minimum so they can prep birds and schedule guides. For custom hunts with specific day/night combinations, they work with you on scheduling.
Deposit & Cancellation - Half-deposit required for 2+ weeks or 10+ birds - Deposits are non-refundable; half can be applied to a different date - Cabin stays require full payment upfront - Cancel 30+ days out = 75% refund - Cancel within 30 days = 50% refund, 50% credited to next stay
