Full description and what we offer
Brown Bear Taxidermy Studio specializes in full-body life-size mounts of black bears and brown bears. They build standing floor mounts with custom bases using branches, trees, logs, and rocks in natural habitats—not just a bear on a pedestal, but a scene.
They also do shoulder mounts, wall mounts, pedestal mounts, and bear skull displays. If you want your trophy to look like the moment you harvested it, that's the baseline here.
Owner Mike Brown has been mounting for decades. He's continuously trained in new methods and materials. This isn't a high-volume operation—it's a quality-focused shop where each customer gets personal attention. They maintain a 100% customer satisfaction rate and work with repeat clients across the country.

Warm Weather Alert: If temps are near or above 50°F, your trophy can spoil in hours—especially bears. Get your animal to a butcher or to Brown Bear within 24 hours or less. When shipping frozen hides, use Next Day Air with dry ice (never water ice or salt).

They're an approved CWD (Chronic Wasting Disease) taxidermist. Hunters who harvest deer, elk, or other cervids in or outside Pennsylvania can bring them directly to Brown Bear for processing.
They maintain a showroom with finished mounts on display. Walk in (call first) to see the work and discuss your trophy in person. Custom habitat builds, plaques, and custom bases are all part of what they do.
"We know how valuable that once in a lifetime trophy is and we would be honoured to be trusted with your trophy." — Mike Brown, Owner
