The main purpose of this class is to ensure you are familiar with basic firearm handling safety in order ensure all new members will be safe members of Falls Township Rifle & Pistol Association. The shooting demonstration is focused on safe firearms handling and very basic competency; we’re not looking to compare marksmanship skills or speed for any participant. The priority skills you should be able to demonstrate are safely loading, firing and unloading a pistol, clearing the chamber, racking the slide, and locking the slide back (semi-automatic pistol). Prospective members will provide their own firearm, ammunition, eye protection, and ear protection. A total of 10 rounds will be fired at large targets on the indoor range the minimum distance allowed – 25 feet. Please see your invitation email to confirm you have everything before you arrive.
