Delaware County Sportsmen's Association is a historic shooting club dedicated to the sport of trapshooting since 1915. Founded by sportsmen committed to conservation and outdoor recreation, DCSA has been serving the community for over a century with world-class trapshooting facilities and programming.
Trapshooting is a dynamic clay target sport that combines precision, timing, and skill. Competitors shoot at 4 1/4-inch clay discs hurled through the air at 42 mph, simulating the flight path of game birds.
Competition & Events: - ATA-Registered Shoots - Sanctioned competitions held mid-March through September on the 2nd, 4th, and 5th Sundays of each month - Prize Shoots - Special weekend events October through March featuring quality local meats and gift card prizes - Lewis Class Events - Specialized competitive shoots for different skill levels - Big 50 Registration - ATA registration available most Wednesday afternoons
Practice & Instruction: - Open practice trap access Wednesday afternoons and at scheduled events - Introductory lessons with NRA-certified coaches through Trapshooting University (2-hour sessions covering safety, operation, etiquette, and live shooting instruction) - Welcome atmosphere for new shooters regardless of age or experience
Founded January 14, 1915, Delaware County Sportsmen's Association was incorporated in 1921 and acquired its facility in 1923 through member contributions. The club remains dedicated to promoting fair play, sportsmanship, and outdoor recreation for future generations.
