Smithfield Sportsman's Club, at 14 Walter Carey Road in Smithfield, Rhode Island, was founded in 1917 as the Georgiaville Foxhunter's Club by David Harris, Oscar Steere, Henry Keene and Louis Giusti to promote game conservation and sportsman-friendly legislation. The club marked its 100th anniversary in 2017 and today counts more than 300 regular members with interests spanning hunting, fishing, target shooting and archery.
The club runs Archery and Junior Rifle programs that members can bring their families to, along with Civilian Marksmanship Program shoots and Rhode Island DEM Hunter Safety courses held each spring and fall. It also holds an NRA Basic Rifle Class through its Education Committee. The club hosts an annual public Field Day with archery and rifle activities open to members and visitors.
