Hawgsrus operates a wild hog and hog/deer combo hunting operation just outside Chesterfield, SC, near Mt. Crogan. They've been running hunts since January 2005 and built their reputation on word-of-mouth and repeat clients rather than magazine ads.

• •Hog hunts run afternoon/night only—hogs rarely move in morning, so an afternoon hunt equals a full day. All stands are safe box stands, and hunts focus on rifle work with typical shots at 100 yards or less. Bow hunts are available if you bring a climber; success rates are lower due to the variables involved.

• •Minimum 2-day hunt with additional days available. They work around your schedule, with Friday/Saturday being most popular.
